Hunan Airport Group's total profit from January to July increased by more than 350% year-on-year
According to the website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, from January to July this year, Hunan Airport Group achieved operating income of 1.374 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.46%; realized a total profit of 80.46 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 357.87%, and the growth rate and target completion rate ranked first among Hunan provincial-level regulated enterprises.
Hunan Airport Group vigorously develops the main aviation market business, continuously improves the frequency of Changsha Airport Express, expands the market scale, and sets a new record for the total number of flight plans. The passenger throughput has ranked first in the central region for three consecutive years and currently remains first. In the first half of the year, Changsha Airport has resumed flights to 12 international and regional cities including London; Zhangjiajie Airport's international passenger throughput ranks first among airports of the same level. Cooperate with China Railway Express to develop the first "aviation + high-speed rail" cargo intermodal transport project in China, carry out the "Xianggang Express" land-air intermodal transport project, explore the "logistics + trade" business, and enhance market competitiveness; promote the opening of the first fifth freedom non-cargo route in Hunan Province, and effectively improve the accessibility and transportation timeliness of international air cargo.
At the same time, the company also promoted the unified management of airports across the province, realized the integrated operation of 10 civil transport airports across the province, and formed a modern airport system of Hunan with clear hierarchy and complete functions of "1 hub, 2 trunks, 8 branches and multiple points".
From January to July, Hunan Airport completed a total passenger throughput of 21.153 million, an increase of 17.3% over the same period last year; completed a cargo and mail throughput of 113,000 tons, an increase of 18% over the same period last year. Among them, Changsha Airport completed a total passenger throughput of 18.043 million, an increase of 19% over the same period last year, and the passenger flow is currently ranked first in the central region. In terms of international, the province's international and regional passenger throughput was 824,000, an increase of 219% year-on-year. It is currently the province with the largest international passenger flow among the six provinces in the central region.
Focus on improving quality and efficiency, and strive to tap the value of non-aviation business
Hunan Airport Group takes the creation of "Internet celebrity airport" as the starting point, deeply promotes the innovation of management concepts, management systems, and management methods, focuses on creating the "food, accommodation, travel, shopping and entertainment" full industrial chain, increases the development of commercial resources, and introduces Internet celebrity brands to settle in the terminal. A "Internet celebrity business" of an airport with delicious food and drink has taken shape. In the first half of this year, Changsha Airport's commercial sales reached 250 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 37%. "Looking at the airport from outside the airport" and grasping the key links to optimize operations have obvious results.
At present, the Changsha Airport renovation and expansion project, as a national "14th Five-Year Plan" transportation power construction project and a key project of Hunan Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" civil aviation construction, is under construction in full swing. After the completion of the T3 terminal, it can meet the annual passenger throughput of 40 million people, and will become a modern three-dimensional comprehensive transportation hub with the most domestic transportation connection methods and the highest seamless transfer efficiency. It is expected to be completed and put into use in 2026.
